Instructions state that connection must be made outdoors. Why?

I've just set up a loop of path lights from B&Q. They're low voltage lights from RING, in the Select-A-Light range

instructions state clearly and repeatedly that the connection to the lighting circuit from the output wire of the transformer, MUST BE MADE OUTSIDE. i.e. The Just curious, but why?

Anyway, if you look at the diagram labelled "Step 4" and "Step 5" on

you can see that the initial connector after the transformer is outside, and the instructions are pretty clear that it MUST be outside. I'm assuming there's some safety reason for this but whatever it is escapes me.
