Hotpoint Helpless Line

snip

I just looked at the adjustment. What puzzles me now, is that the spray header located under the upper basket, the one that the large plates would hit the header before I raised the basket, is now not in line with the supply on the rear of the machine, so does not get water fed to it. I'll take another look to see what is happening. It will be interesting to see what the next wash looks like.

RingGo allow parking by ringing a phone number, which you should see on the machine itself or charge board near by. It's all rather tedious to enter all the details via DTMF, can can be done.

Better to set up an account on your desk top, and then it's a look quicker by phone when you're actually parking

Same for all the parking app companies, there only three or four used nationally now.

Yes, but once it's done it's done. They are all tiny little apps, and can live on their own 'nest' on Andriod or Apple

I've got four installed, RingGo, JustPark, PaybyPhone, and MI Permit.

It's always one of those. Bournemouth council give you a choice of any of the first three !

For certain values of "Tiny"!

Mi Permit 21MB Mobon 69MB PayByPhone 81MB RingGo 30MB

Being able to pick the one you like best, and use it for *all* parking locations would be much better. Having the facility in app to complete the purchase by phone when data is not available should also be a standard option IMHO.

Ringgo, paybyphone, MiPermit, and Mobon seem to be common round here - however it is rare to have a choice.

None of them seem to need a particularly recent Android version though so far.

The council explained that that would have been possible, but it was not clear from the message on the board, it sounded like just a Helpline number for difficulty with the 'app'. Another case of the writer knowing the answer, but not understanding that the reader did not.

That's never going to happen in the competitive market place that's been created. It's rather like suggesting you should be free to domestically roam on any UK mobile network (if only !) It's very odd Bournemouth (although it's now BCP, after the recent merger of Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch councils) offer all three, unless it's a legacy contractual thing because the three separate councils each used one of the companies !

I'm pretty sure it's an option at all sites, it's just not made that clear. I've been parking electronically since before the age of smartphones. I used to ring up to park. Had to do it the other day, when the app didn't work. The phone method didn't work either, I emailed and they said the whole system was down, and so don't worry for today !

We did park recently in a car park in Beaulieu, (and in the centre of the village) New Forest. No signal at all on my phone (EE) so I had to switch on Mrs C's hotspot on her phone (Sky/02) tether my phone to hers, and complete the process that way. Though to be far, there there was a coin slot, and contactless card pad, so I was just being awkward with myself !
