Handbags for men

The 99p shop has specs. in plastic tubes. The tube has a clip but it can be a bit poorly fastened and the specs and bottom part of the tube tend to drop down. Fortunately the pocket for those and the phobile has a separator so the tube stays upright without the clip.

Whatever happened to the marsupium (also known as bum-bag)? I have 4, from just big enough for a few things in hot weather (Hasn't been used for a couple of years!) to enough for drink, food, thin coat, hat, gloves etc.; also one with a sort of mesh mini-rucsack inside it. I just wouldn't keep the wallet in it unless it's the small one round the front.

Your arse is more abrasive than a pocket-full of small change?

Is this a good thing?

Excuse me reviving a dead thread... but nobody seems to have pointed out that lots and lots of young men carry around 12 inch record bags... I'm quite sure they're being used as man bags.

I've lived in warmer climes. Too hot to wear a jacket, so I had to give up carrying everything around in my pockets, went native and got a small man bag.

really don;t think I've seen many if any... I see a lot of laptop bags and rucksacks, even a case on wheels.

But as you say maybe an old posyt of 30 years ago was when 'men' carried LP cases.

I use a Billingham camera bag that's plenty bigger than the camera equipment therein and, therefore, has room for other things I need or want to carry. It could accomodate an iPad or MacBook Air if I wanted it to.

The bag is definitely more masculine than anything my wife carries.

rote:

In the end I think that has to be the outcome - we don't really need them in the UK, certainly not in the northern parts. The weather is never that good and reliable that we can go without a jacket --- and that is your manbag ! A jacket certainly has the major advantage that the pockets can be designated for specific items and there is none of this hunting in one 'bag' to find a pen, your keys, small change and so on.

So, yes, Manbags are not British as we men have plenty of pockets in our necessary garb to carry all we need to.

Of course a man bag is usually a shoulder bag rather than a handbag...

A handbag would be an encumbrance.
