Garden waste removal in Bristol?

Having got carried away and sawn down a large (10" trunk) tree, I now find my garden's full of branches & bits of trunk. Anyone recommend someone in the Bristol area who would take this sort of stuff away (for a fee, obviously).

Cheers,

Wish I lived near, I'd be along with my shredder! Perhaps there is a keen gardener near who would do just that. Are there any allotments near? If so pay them a visit and ask, they may be grateful for shredded tree bits.

Have you considered burning it ?

Whatever you do, you'll have to cut it into manhandable chunks. Unless you chip the branches they will take up a huge volume...

Likewise - probably quite a few woodburner enthusiasts in the area who would be pleased to remove the 'loggable' stuff for you.

Last winter I did the same for a friend in 'town' (Ipswich) - in return for the rather nice selection of logged-up sections I also carted away and disposed of his 'twiggy bits'...

Freebie ad in the local paper, or the appropriate uk.local.+++ newsgroup ?

Alternatively, I'm sure that 'somebody' will collect, for a fee, and then flog the burnable stuff on, thus making profit both ends . Shame you're not more local, I'd have been pleased to help

I doubt many gardeners (even keen ones) have a shredder capable of handling a 10" trunk.
