On mine, a cheap Beko freezer, the bit of the hinge assembly that latches the top flap closed broke off. I fixed it with a cable tie. The bit that is usually cut off once the cable tie is made was left at around 5mm long. This just catches in the little recess in the door flap and holds it in place. This fix has so far lasted a couple of years.
There have been other small plastic bits that have broken off and repaired by drilling a hole in both parts and inserting a cut down panel pin before glueing the broken edges together with two part rapid expoxy.
