A lot of 15 year old stuff still in daily use. I dont see much pre 2000 plate though.
But it depends on the model. A 15 year old Fiat Punto is worth less than the cost of servicing it. A 15 year old Freelander HSE TD4 is worth keeping on the road as the build quality and engine longevity is good. So they command a value even at that age.
Most diesel cars seem to be able to do 200k miles before engine is shot. apart.
At £10k a year that's 20 years.
My wife noticed the identical sign on the back of a 58 reg Vauxhall Driving School car a few years ago that we were following along the Ilford High Road. She took a photo through the windscreen and posted it on a forum.
