You certainly can't say that ALL today's dogs are healthy and flea-free ...

You may be smitten.

BUT I think the fleas eventally die without the correct host.

Otherwise spray with flea spray every two weeks till they have all hatched and died.

Human fleas and lice are far more probelmatic.
