Do sleeping platforms need BRegs?

Does a sleeping platform built in a bedroom in a domestic house need Regs?

PP not required I understand.

But some variation (as ever!) in "facts" on t'interweb re Regs.

At what point does a sleeping platform become a mezzanine? & Does that change things re Regs?

TIA

ER, I suppose if you can walk under it its a mezzanine, or is that too simplistic? Brian

I put "Sleeping platform" into Google, and got lots of advice of how to lie down in the back of an SUV.

Or are you going to open one of these?
