DIY(ish) - uses for old central heating pump(s)

Finally clearing out my trove of "useful sometime" stuff.

I have a couple of CH pumps. We also have a combi boiler so no obvious use.

Are they any good for anything else, such as pumping water for a garden water feature, or are they destined for Freegle/scrap?

Cheers

CH pumps are CI and so will corrode with non recirculating applications and where fresh supplies of oxygen can be collect as in a water feature and must not be used with drinking water. If you open them up and clean and paint the impeller and internals of the body, they might last a while with annual checks.

The ones I have dismantled have plastic impellers. However, the bearings were worn which is why they were available for dismantling.

I have a couple of second-hand ones in stock, because we have a few heating systems around the family with separate pumps. Also have a spare one for my Keston which looks like a normal Grunfoss, but has a different part number as the Keston board controls its speed.
