Presumably they won't cut in the usual score and snap way? Will I have to hire/buy a circular saw tile cutter? Is there a hand saw that will do the job? I want to keep my fingers.

You will need a diamond disk. I have them, they are a PITA They are full of voids that have been filled. This is where the patterning comes from.
Trouble is there are interior voids that are unfilled that later collapse leaving holes in the floor.
If they are genuine marble, they're pretty soft. A cheap power tile cutter will p**s through them. But by the size, you'd be better with a large bed one which are more expensive.
I have 'mock' ones here - porcelain. Very hard indeed.
Probably but how many cuts do you envisage having to do?
A powered tile saw will produce nice clean cuts but the cheapie Plasplug= s "compact" doesn't really have a bed big enough for 305mm tiles, so you'l= l need a larger one. They seem to come it at about =A380, I wonder how muc= h a weekends hire is?
If you do get one these are wet cutters and do produce a spray so best t= o do outdoors, which might be a bit chilly this time of year. B-)
They aren't that vicious, they can cut you but it would be hard to get the damage that a circular saw can do without being very dumb. No teeth =

hire buy a crappy tile saw. Done tons of these things with mine.
