Its the same energy wherever you get it after all, and there are only two views. 1, is it with a company who can afford to provide the lower price, ie something has to give as nobody works for nothing.
2 Go with one of the big uns who also have fixed price deals, and gamble that prices will increase. At the moment it would be d difficult to advise. I went with the fixed price which is minimally lower than the variable at the moment on EDF, gambling that a big company with international interests should be able to survive. Its a lot harder of course if your budget for living is stretched already, since you want just the lowest prices. BrianConfused - energy cap

Other way round - The fixed deals are very expenive, those you can actually find, the variable deals are cheaper. The fixed deals being so much more expensive, suggests the companies are expecting prices to increase drastically over the contract period.
