My mother has a Worcester Bosch Greenstar combi boiler of some ilk, maybe about 15 years old.
It had issues with its diverter valve last year and had the valve changed and the system ?Powerflushed? to supposedly avoid future problems.
Well, the HW water temperature is all over the shop again. Sometimes it stays lukewarm but sometimes it comes through fine and hot, before going completely cold in a random cycle. Not very nice if you?re trying to shower.
The CH is working fine and the radiators are nice and hot.
Man from Scottish gas came out today and declares the fault lies in the heat exchanger. Given that the radiators are heating up fine this sounds unlikely to me but maybe there?s a secondary heat exchanger?
Anyhow, just wondered how likely it is that it IS the heat exchanger or is it more likely the diverter valve or some other fault. I don?t have a huge amount of faith in the man from SG.
