Hi all
OK so I've just been copied into an email saying kitchen electrics I've done are OK (a whole other story) and inviting the "building side" of building control to arrange a final inspection. I thought that the building side were satisfied and didn't anticipate another inspection. The fact is that the centre of the kitchen loft is borded at top-of-joist level, so there's only 6" of insulation in that area. Presumably they'll pick this up and expect more???? This area does provide access to wall mounted junction boxes at each end of the kitchen loft (not sure if that makes a difference).
East Riding Council, if anyone's had recent dealings with them.
Are they likely to want me to lift boarding and add the dense board-type insulation?
Thanks
Phil
