Bath waste pipe and joists

Apr 30, 2007 2 Replies

We are looking to redo a bathroom. The layour we would like to use woudl require the waste pipe from the bath to run across the bathroom, the wrong way for the joists. Can joist be notched/drilled to take bath wastes or is this simply too big.

Thanks in advance
