ALNO - Excellent Kitchen Planner

Jun 12, 2007 2 Replies

Hi all

Just a heads up for those looking at kitchen layouts. Have already tried Ikea and other offerings, but er indoors noticed an advert for Alno kitchens and reference to a PC based kitchen planner. No, I have no commercial association with this company! Downloaded this software last week and have already produced 3 layouts for comparison. Easy to use, good library of parts (although some are not quite where you would expect in the menu heirarchy), easy to apply floor/wall coverings and colours.

Credit where it's due, this is seriously useful software and doesn't look far behind the stuff used by other in store kitchen designers. One caveat, obviously the range of units available is based on Alno stock and some of the configurations may not be available in other manufacturers' ranges.

That's the boy. So impressed I forgot to include a link!! (doh)

Think there were a few versions offered - I downloaded the latest (V0.95b). Runs at an acceptable speed on pentium III @ 700MHz 512Mb RAM (I think).
