Ain't it good when you get praised

I just had a plasterer in to do my ceiling as me back cant take the strain of working above.

He asked who done the walls and I said myself to which he replied that as I've never been on training for it, the job is excellant and would I like some work to take the load of his backlog.

Think he was a bit miffed because I said no.

First class ceiling job though.

Was he being 'patronising' d'ya think?

Don.

Nah. A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down though :-)

And I got one today too, from the heating specialist who came to repair my 15 your old oil fired boiler. He made a comment about a nice tidy installation and asked what company had done it - I threw him slightly when I said 'present company', but did acknowledge that I took very much longer than any professional would have done. Still it is nice to get compliments form those who earn a living doing it.
