SWMBO, the gardener here, reports that she finds waxy yellow balls of black sunflower seeds buried in the garden soil.
A google search has turned up nothing.
We wnder what pest or fauna would be responsible?
The sunflower seeds come from the various wild bird feeders scattered around.

Yep, lots of chipmunks and 'raccoons' here in the UK.
But I can't think of any of them that make waxy yellow balls of the seeds they hoard. Tho maybe thats how some bird seed comes.
