a double socket fed by three cables
so, three red wires feed one terminal, three black wires another terminal
the curiosity is the green wires
i.e. one bare copper strand emerges from one length of green plastic insulation, while *two* bare copper strands emerge from another single length of insulation

It sounds like there's a spur to another socket.
Assuming the socket is on a ring main:
2 cables will be part of the ring. One going in each direction.The third cable cable will probably go off to another socket. A spur.
Earth wires in cable are not individually sheathed so green or green/yellow insulation should have been slid on to the earth wires. if
