I'm not going to go there I think this guy is out of his tree thinking that he can get $30K for a shop of tools. IMO the 1/2 of new guideline applies to *individual* tools. Maybe... just maybe if he sold the pieces one-zy two-zy and was really patient.

Auction Gloat!

It is the Power Shop series, green color. Model #203607. It is missing the tabe hold down system, but, I can fashion this in the metal shop. No stand, but, a friend has an extra Craftsman stand that he will give me. I will post a oic when I get it cleaned up.

Dangers of Sawdust

I have a large, spacious shopspace and rarely get much dust in the air, but even so I keep a shop vac around and religiously clean the shop every day when I'm done.

hand plane technique

That grips concrete pretty well :-) I suppose bolting is the best bet, but I just could not bring myself to drill holes in the floor of my brand new gar>>shop.

Anti-fatigue horse mats in the shop

We've put some down in the service area of a bike shop, and I like them so much, I want some for my wood shop. They're much more comfortable to stand on then concrete, and are easily sweepable. They are locally sold as 4'x8', I'd like to make several smaller mats from each.

buying lumber online

Michael, Ther used to be a wood shop, Woodworkers Warehouse (was a cabinet shop which converted to selling wood, cabinet making supplies and tools) on I beleive W. Montgomery Ave (behind the Rockville Metro Station) which carried a very good selection of wood.

6mm shank router bits

In our shop a 6mm size collet for a lathe is called a 6-5 it measures .236 in. dia. Or if you need to I can have a split bushing type collet made for you in our machine shop. I understand the business side of the metal removal business. I am not a tool maker.

I'm looking at adding an air filtration system to the shop. I'm tired of wearing a dust mask for two hours after I use the equipment in this room, and let's not even talk about the fine layer of dust that settles on everything. It looks like the two viable options are the Deltal and Jet ...
