Why would you want a car in your shop? Automobiles are waterproof; leave it outside where it belongs. LRod Master Woodbutcher and seasoned termite Shamelessly whoring my website since 1999 http://www.woodbutcher.net

OT florescent light hum

I replaced the bulbs in a florescent light fixture in the shop and the lamp now makes an audible hum sound. Any idea what causes this? Are the new bulbs the problem?

Shop at WalMart, who is putting companies out of business by the low cost they demand from their suppliers, then worry about a few cashiers. Brilliant! Dennis Vogel

Moisture Content

You've got a moisture meter so meter some wood samples that have been laying around your shop for a while and see what their EMC is. Compare that to wood you buy.

Cleaning Bandsaw Blades?

Some shop photos would be nice too. If Wreck FAQification was easy, I'd be doing it.

Hand plane discussion at garage sale

a hand held power plane is a very useless tool in the shop. but you could hit him over the head with a plane and he would say it did not hurt.

galvinised pipe size

I used 3/4" for the trunk that runs the length of the shop and 1/2" for the drops to each air chuck. I have been very happy with the results.
