Colour of CFLs?

look for "colour temperature" often expressed as "XXXX K" (where xxxx's are numbers) warm white is abt 3000K, blue "looks like a closed butcher's shop" crap is abt 6500k cheers jim

Making 30mm hole in wall

You might find it easier to nip around to your local hire shop & rent a diamond core drill bit & a drill to run it. Not that expensive for a short hire.

I am delighted with my Sanyo eneloop batteries - I also have some 7 Day Shop versions - as yet untried. Ideal for camera where it may go unused for periods of time.
