Another (hopefully) helpful tip

I've managed to get in an hour or 2 in the mornings, but as soon as the shop hit 90 or so about 10 am, it's time to quit..

OT: Sort of, Mother of all Leaf Blowers

Prior threads have dealt with using leaf blowers to clean out the shop or how noisy leaf blowers cause irritation.

Re: Band Saw Search Leads to Confusion

From experience, IMHO, the $375 griz G0555 is great for the home shop & maybe a great 2nd saw in a small commercial shop.

Restoring Antique Leather Chairs

Every shoe repair shop has it. I buy it in the 2 oz tubes but if you have a shoe repair shop near you, perhaps they would just give you some. Jack

Can Pan Cake Air Compressor Refill a 5-gal Air Tank for a Brad Gun?

Why don't you use a shop-vac with a washable filter to clean the Dust Collector filter, and a small compressor top run your brad nailer? A shop-vac in BLOW mode would probably work fine. Just blow the filter outside - not indoors.

Shop made full extension wooden drawer slides

Does anyone know of a source online for plans, photos, or drawings of shop built full extension drawer slides? I'm designing my shop carts and need to add drawers for holding bits, screws, etc. The drawers will be on both sides of my 24" wide cart so will only be 10" deep.

Will my floor support a Grizzly G1023SL?

I'm about to buy a Grizzly G1023SL table saw (left tilting with weight spec'd at 430 lbs on a 20.5" x 20.5" base) and am a little concerned about putting that kind of weight on my shop floor. The shop is 12' x 20' with 1/2" plywood floor over 2x6's at 16"OC (they span the 12' width).

Minamizing water from compressor

Well, the first thing that comes to mind is to use a dehumdifier in your shop to keep the air that compressors going to take in dry to start with. Other than that, I think there's various traps or filters to use.

HF Dust collector??

I have a garage shop with 2 shop vacs and no real dust control other than an open garage door and a window fan.. Has anyone ever tried the 2 hp (sounds very low power) dust collector from Harbor Freight?
