Woodturning...

My 5-drawer Shaker style dresser took a few months to complete, but I used hand tools and did not have a shop back then. Time is not an issue, unless you are in a production shop trying to make money.

Electrical service - welder outlet work for tablesaw?

I recently moved my shop from a 2 car garage to a farm with a 25' x 30' shop - man what a difference! The electrical service has a 40Amp 3 prong outlet for a welder. I think this is 220V single phase. Q1) Will this circuit work for a 220V tablesaw?

I cut the articles out of my woodworking mags, organize them as to genre i.e. shop projects, furniture, ect. And using plastic sheet protectors place them in loose leaf binders. I have about 5 years worth in 6 binders. The binders are the 4" ones that open with the rings attached to the back ...

If the only difference is that the better one is meant to last for 10 years in a production shop and the cheaper one cuts well and lasts reasonably well in a home shop, great. However, if its a POS, well then I will save for the better one. SteveP.

Delta Jet Lock Fence

Shop Fox DC Remote: Switching only 1 phase?

Big time gloat sorta OT

That is a principle reason I installed it/them for my main load center and my shop sub-panel. Not necessarily that I will use them that way, but the main breaker in the shop sub may be.

Silver Maple any good?

I have some land that has open space that I plan to plant trees on for eventual use in my shop. I enjoy working with maple and was wondering if silver maple is any good.
