Router planing sled with a mortising bit?

Or, of course, let your fingers do the walking to the nearby shop and have them run it through their thickness sander... :) If you've got a Woodcraft it's a big enough place there's bound to be a cabinet or architectural shop that surely would be glad to do it...

Keep in mind most shop built base cabinets have a 24" EXTERIOR dimension as far as depth.

Switch for outdoor light

I have an outdoor pole light (probably sodium vapor) adjacent to my shop. The light gets its power from my house (switch in living room). Switch and light are 120 ft. ± apart. Underground wire from switch to pole light is broken (dug it up and found the break).

Termites

Back in 2004 I had termites active at my shop. It was treated then with Termidor, about 104' of perimeter with 32' of that being drilled in a carport slab.

Bandsaw or Drill Press?

LOL IF I HAD to use my RAS for ripping then I would have to have a good supply of toilet paper in the shop...and Yea...in that case I also would be concerned about kickbacks....

What are the reasons so few modern planes measure up to the old one?

But I was able to put together a shop in my spare time without much outlay of my meager funds. That standard line of, "But I need a (insert name of tool here) to make this item" became my mantra.
