Which is the A/C motor start capacitor?

Make a diagram of the wires, remove it and take it to a motor shop. They can test it for you.

Digging out crawl space - Power tools?

I've used my shop vac to clean out trenches for water pipe, and to remove the loose soil at the bottom of an augered hole. Works quite well.

woodworking/millwork question

It's far more difficult on a ts than bs (of adequate capacity which any good shop will have). 9" resawing is beyond the reach of a 10" ts. --

Who uses pop rivets professionally?

I think there's a cheapy rivet gun in our local odds'n'bods shop for a fiver. And probably with some rivets thrown in for good measure ;-)

What type of door closer is this?

It looks like a cheap toolstation closer http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Safety+%26+Security/d200/Door+Closers/sd2774/Standard+Door+Closer+Size+3/p72799 They work on either side.

Which is a bit of a problem if living on 'benefits' Even the cards you see in a corner shop window advertising bedsits etc, usually say 'No DHSS'
