Does your friend have a local agricultural supply shop? My local one has all manner of bearings designed for agricultural use on their shelves. cheers Jules

Backup Generators 101?

The interesting thing is that I visit a site that has a similar capacity identical looking unit only it is a real generac not their cheepo big box version. You can barely hear it operate.

Need 50 slick-looking sheets of letterhead [OT]

I occasionally visit the site in question. It's mainly saddos that decide they need to install Windows XP on a tin of baked beans. There's some right impressive works of art in amongst the dross though. It is, perhaps unsurprisingly, called mini-itx.com.

Hyperterminal without protocols?

It just dumps a file to the screen and also sends out the serial port as if you were keying it.

that doesn,t happen Phil, there is a auto syphon which activates at a predetermined level inside the condensate tank in the boiler and dumps a "slug of water" down the pipe

12v filter for car electrical output

Inductive generator plus load dumps is bound to equal spikes. The battery will swamp them for the most part, but alternator to battery does have inductance, so I'd expect rf spikes. NT

George Nakashima - American Woodworker

In 1965 I had the good fortune to visit Nakashima and order a walnut coffee table --- one of the luckiest things I ever did. I still get pleasure seeing that table in our living room. A few years back we revisited the Nakashima studios and got a side table designed by his daughter, Mira.

Concrete Mixing

I have my concrete lorry deliver 1/3 of a mile from my site, and I dumper it to the site. Actually the lorry driver (small local company) drives the dumper and I lay the stuff. We can empty 6m3 in arround 30 minuites this way.
