How much should I pay to rent fully equipped shop space?

This shop also comes equipped with a table saw, drill press, router table, miter saw, and band saw. During our conversation we did not discuss a rental charge and, frankly, I got the feeling that I could use the shop for little or nothing.

Exterior wood protection?

My shop has T1-11 siding, primed & painted as my garage. I used a 3/4" rol= ler for priming & painting shop and garage. The thick nap allowed getting = into the T1-11 grooves, first primer coat thinned for penetration. Once ro= lled on, I used a 4" brush as "dressing", smoothening.

OT. Computer controlled

There are virtually no independent garages anymore and you usually end up in a dealer shop or the very rare speed shop. Manufacturers are doing all they can to make the dealer shop the only option.

New shop open, my first workbench is finished, just not finished...

The shop will be my refuge from the heat. I spent a small fortune on insulating the shop but it was worth it. For heat I have a small propane heater to knock the edge off the chill. We had several days well below freezing and the shop was still in the 40's without using the ...

Table Saw Noise Abatement?

How's your thoughput?

As a serious hobbiest I spend about every other weekend with a day or two in the shop. I seem to be able to "put out" about 4 major projects each year after. There are lots of little things on between. FWIW, I consider "major" to be anything from a night stand on up.

Your opinion, please.

I still have to have my daily pickup routine--each time I go into the shop, I pick up and put away 10 items. Amazing how fast that cuts the clutter. And yes, shop time is much more enjoyable when I can go to a spot and find (most of the time) the tool that I need.

I now live in a normal ex-council terrace with no problems about renting my shop out, chasing the (Invariably late) rent, or what the shop next door want to sell and to whom they want to sell it.

Checking an Electricity meter

It's just come up as the shop is around 20 units a day and I have 4 PC's and accessories on full time, shop lights running at least 11 hours a day, in the Winter months we have 2 big Myson fans blowing CH heated air again a minimum of 11 hours a day. Kettle boiling every hour or 2.
