My shop vac can't remove chips 6 or more inches away from the nozzle.

What would you use?

Of course, at my shop, glued-up 2x construction lumber, with an oops door from the door shop is traditional. But I won't be posting any pictures to FWW Current Work of that bench. ;-) Patriarch

begining workshop

I was wondering if anyone can give me advice for what I need for a begining wood working shop. My Husband had desided that for my birthday we should spend about $1000 to start a shop.

I caution you not to pursue every trick of scuba divers in the wood shop, though. There is this concept referred to off hand as the "we suit warmer" that you probably don't want to consider in the shop...

I was finally horrified by one of norm's finishes

I brought up a similar question reguarding the shop clock. Somebody commented that in HD the clock he stained dark was made out of sub-par walnut.....Of course after I brought it up I noticed that the clock he kept in the shop was unfinished.

Henry Webb responds: Anyway, it MAY be possible for the OP to check on-line for a repair shop nearby, and get that repair shop to order the fence rails for the 3612. Might not, too, but worth a try, as it should be cheaper.

Found it in a local electronics shop eventually, having failed to find it anywhere online. Local electronics shop closed down shortly afterwards unfortunately.

PTFE Tape - how many winds?

An ancient news story (1950s) reported that a recent Asian immigrant bought a new washing line every week from his local hardware shop. Finding this a bit strange the shop keeper finally asked the chap why he needed so many washing lines.
