SELCO opening in Reading

For those who've missed the adverts splattered over the local free rags they're opening on Monday (27/11/06), down the road from Screwfix on the Portman Road industrial estate (next to the Vauxhall dealers).

Screwfix pitch roofing insulation - any good?

I think actually it works out at a similar cost to Kingspan if you shop around but as this is delivered to your door free it would seem a good deal. Why not phone their technical department and tell them your BCO wants specs before allowing you to use it.

anti condensation paint

I have seen anti condensation paint for =A330 (shop doesn't have the smallest tin) My question is - is it worth applying this paint if there is still the sign of black mould? Does the surface have to be totally free of mould? thanks a lot, Andrew

Inspection and oil change

Given the shop likely makes money on the "inspection", I always wonder why people _pay_ for that inspection, since, I think, many shops must be giving it away (so to speak) for free. Don't they?

Dont install Vinyl Siding

Rock is free here just for the pickin' it up ... maybe that's why they call it Stone County . My house will have rock up to the bottom of the windows , split white oak shakes above .

Maintenance on a Bosch 1617?

My switch also went bad, but I called up Bosch to find a local shop that -would- repair it. Plus the fixed base never centers, even after buying the centering tool. I always have to center it manually, even after Bosch said they fixed it.

Gloat -- FWW Mags

Yeah, well last summer I was given over 100 FWW, including issue #1, with the only stipulation being that I had to also accept several boxes of Woodsmith, Shop Notes, and several other magazines.

The black hole of Suckage was Re: Delta 36-L31X-BC50 X5 3HP Left Tilt Unisaw with Biesemeyer

Well, after one shipping mishap (they gave me an incorrect shipping number) Amazon delivered INTO my ga...shop a $460 Delta X5 unisaw. They refunded my shipping cost for my trouble. LOL Now let's see if Delta will honor their $100 rebate and ship my free tool.

Chemicals - useful site

Oh correction, they do offer free postage after all. You just need to buy =A3750 worth of stuff. I'll never complain about Screwfix postal charges again! I think I'll stick with the pound shop for my cleaning products. Cheers! Martin

Anyone else score a Festool sander for $59

I took the Survey on Tuesday AM, ordered the sander with a credit card, and I recieved the sander 2 days later on Thursday. It took 2 days to get it in California. I assume it was shipped from Illinois.
