Set the shop up first...

When you get to your new place, set up the shop area first. You don't have to unpack your fancy table saw, but do definately unpack most of your hand tools. The reasoning is simple: You'll want those tools in the house. I've heard all of these since moving: "Where's the tape measure?"

air line runs in shop

Does anyone make a consumer grade bench jigsaw?

A real pain to transport and muscle into the shop, but my son and I got it done. My shop is pretty small so I ended up spending another $50 for the parts to make a mobile base. My shop is in a basement room that is actually an extension off of the original house.

I got a pair of Peltor H10As I use all the time in the shop. The Shop Vac seems to be about the same loudness, maybe a little quieter than the 735. The trickiest thing with the 735 is probably going to be chip collection. With the diverter installed, it will spew chips all over ...

OT: Sessions greenlights police to seize cash, property from people suspected of crimes but not charged

Several years ago a gun shop owner here was caught with a small amount of cocaine, thrown in prison by the feds, and his shop and contents were confiscated and of course he lost his license. In jail for over a year he was tried and convicted and released for time served.

Bandsaw or tablesaw or wait?

if you're on a budget, shop for used machinery. you'll get more for your money, and with a little advance research (www.owwm.com) you will find that many of the old machines are better built than what is available new.

Router Bit Storage

And what better way to learn a new technique than to try it on a piece of "just shop furniture"? If you blow it, well it's "just shop furniture". Why not have a go at a coopered doors, wall hanging cabinet?
