so far on my walls I have not been spacing . . . my therory is that since the shop is not climate controlled yet . . . with the high humidity as a norm here in Louisiana, I am assuming when I A/C the shop, remove moisture, I will start seeing a gap anyway . . . any thoughts on that . . ...
When I was 5, I used to work in my dad's shop while he was at work.Of course, that was on a farm so it wasn't really unusual. kids gotta do something. The more I hear ya'll discuss this, the more I like a dedicated fuse box for the shop area.

You'd have shellac in your shop for the same reason you would have varnish, lacquer, or oils in the shop. When appropriate it is a great finish in itself.
Gives me a lot more shop time, but no money for buying wood. I seem to gravitate toward trees being cut down and there's more logs in my shop.

I plan to use an oversized 2 car garage, insulated for my shop. Since I live in Maine I need to heat the shop. What's the best way to safely heat a small workshop? I am concerned about both fire and ventilation. TIA George in Maine snipped-for-privacy@ctel.net
