We could *always* do a better job of cleaning out the machines if we were able to take them from the customer's site back to the office where we had an air compressor. ============================================================================= Of course you could.

Ridgid Table saw

All were shipped for free by Amazon. Some other dealers offer similar free shipping now too, or at least "reasonable" shipping for large items.

Shop Fox vs. Grizzly Cabinet Saws

I was able to get free shipping due to order size from my local retailer here in SoCal. Out the door price was 1313.81 off of the "A" column including tax. If the order size is >5k then your dealer can move into the "B" column for bigger savings so I was told.

Custom windows

A few years ago, I salvaged quite a few sash units and have them stashed in the back of the shop. I'd give you one or 2. All are relatively recent modeled high-end Kolbe & Kolbe custom made units.

Craftsman Mowers....So Slow!

It is in the Sears shop as I speak. I bought a Craftsman previous to this one and had it back to their shop 3 times trying to address the same problem. They could not, so replaced it free with this one. Same problem. Speed control is ineffective.

length of dust collection run

I am redoing my shop and would like to put the collector at one end and run 4" flex pipe, I got it for free, to my machines. The setup would run along one wall of my shop and I would use "y's" to the machines and I would not have any 90 degree corners.

Workmate Opinions

For what it's worth: In my shop I'm currently using the workmate and an old closet door between two sawhorses. This setup seems to be working fine. I've been making cabinets to free up storage space so that I can start on a 'real' bench.

Dust Collectors; what micron size on bag?

I just stuck a 16x6 foot "deck" behing my shop just to use some "stray" but used lumber that came my way last summer...

Sharpening Saw Blades?

I 'fessed up when I returned it for service, and Forrest reflattened it for free, and it's still a great blade. Everything else, including better carbide router bits and jointer and planer knives, go out to a local shop via Woodcraft or Coastal Tool.
