attaching sander to shop vac

I tried to connect it to Shop vac. Unfortunately existing shop vac hose is short and very unflexible that makes working with sander a nightmare. I am looking for longer, lightweight and flexible hose. Can some one recommend one and where to buy it.

Floor nozzle for old wet dry vac

Unfortunately the vac died several years ago and I replaced it with a Shop Vac unit. I'v still been using the old floor nozzle because I like it better than the new Shop Vac tools. I've been back to Sears but they only carry the new style tool :-(

Piping basement for compressor air supply

Obviously more of an issue in a commercial shop than a home shop but rushing air would sure fan the the flames in either place...

how many tape measures in your shop

Just one in the shop (at least four or five around the how and in the car). Any more than one and there will always be disagreements among them. I use the Stanley which matches my steel ruler the best for shop work but never for precise marking.

switches

The 22.95 is labeled Shop fox, while the 9.95 is grizzly. The griz says 110v while the shop fox is 120v but the will handle 120. It's all about the amps, not the 10v.

Identity and source for tiny bulbs

Model shop - tiny bulbs are used in model trains. (also look at Maplin) They are also common in car stereos - a repair shop will probably have a selection in stock. www.cpc.co.uk probably do them as they supply repair shops, but their website is a pain to find stuff on..!

furnace question for HVAC guru's....

Seems the average is 4k to install a +90% VS = $4000 - $1600 equipment cost = $2400 labor / 8 hrs = $300/hr No, but he pays a lot to lease a shop. I can see your point but not for a one-man shop specializing in installing and servicing furnaces.
