scratched plastic mobile facia - any thoughts?

I was once given a free mobile phone cleaning kit (by Orange, I think) and it included suitable facia polish - which worked. Try a phone shop?

Flourescent shop lights

I have a few older T8 4ft shop lights that wont light up until I turn the bulbs a bit, do I have a bad connection at the pins or am I doing something inside the light, the bulbs are old but this happens on a few of my lights.

PC power supplies (the Joy of Standards)

Personally though I think I'd rather have a tool that required me to check pins individually but was useful for many other things, that one that did a single job only. Unless I was a PC repair shop, I suppose - then it'd make sense!

Main socket tester

If connected the live to N and E pins, then earth the live pin, they would give the correct reading. But they do pick up on some faults. Its probably quicker to put 3 mains neons into a mains plug than go to the shop and buy one of those. Thats all they are, a neon between each 2 ...
