Shop SETUP TABLE plans?

I am looking for plans to build a setup table for the shop. Here is what I'm looking for: -sacrificial top (MDF or hardboard) -torsion box top -shelves under table -moveable Any thoughts on plans? Joe

New Shop Spec Suggestions

We're in the process of buying a new home, and I have an area in the basement that is roughly 18' x 22' x 8 1/2' reserved for a wood shop. We're at the stage of construction where the studs are in, but no wiring or plumbing yet.

new house with shop

I'm planning my new house now and want a reasonable size shop (16'x25') for a hobbyist. It will be used for making cabinetry, and furniture. I use water based products for top coats so I am not planning on explosion proof fans etc... My chief concern now is the floor.

Computer in the shop

and a recent post by Jim Laumann "A 'puter in the shop" got me thinking. In 1994 when I purchased my first house I wanted to buy a RAS to help with some of the fix ups needed.

Shop Full of Project.

I've got a small shop (2 1/2 car garage...no cars allowed). In this small space, I've built tables, kitchen cabinets, tons of bookshelves and a pretty big assortment of odds and ends. It sometimes takes a little creativity , but it always has worked out.

Small shop dust control.

Has anyone considered using a consumer "air purifier" to eliminate dust in a small shop? I have a small shop (no remedy) and vasomotor rhinitis (no cure). My sinuses and nasal passages are hypersensitive to various stimuli including the ultra-fine dust created in a woodworking ...

Shop-vac bag recycling

No extra bags for the PC vacuum to be found in the shop. Took the completely full one out and emptied into the trash and reused it. Seemed to work fine. Anyone else recycling their bags out there? JP

Building my new shop

I'm designing my new shop. It is going to be 24x32 baloon framed. 2x6x14 wall studs will give me a nice high ceiling and a kneewall for a good 2nd floor. My question is about spanning 32 feet with a beam. I don't want to use steel and the price of LVL is outrageous. How about using 6 ...

time spent in shop

Just wondering if anybody else ever gets that "rushed" feeling in the shop? Example: This past week ive been on vacation, but with the rugrats still in school, i decided to re-roof my lawn shed, and spend as much Q-time in the shop as possible, (which i did).
