Contractor's Table Saw

IMO, for cabinet shop, there's nothing like the PM-66...but, you can certainly get by for less... Maybe, if the rest of the saw is adequate...many have Biesemeyer clones, anyway...some are ok, some not so hot... Depends on what the definition of "enough" is...and how you plan to transport ...

Homemade dust collector

If anyone is interested in looking, I made my own shop dust collector this year. It was made mainly with surplus materials I had sitting around - the benifit of never throwing anything away. The fan unit came from an old industrial furnace.

cordless phones

You might get an additional charger, or buy a set that has two separate chargers, so one in the house, one in the shop.

Mulching leaves into lawn...?

He asks how my lawn is so thick, green, and free from weeds. I tell him I mulch mow high and often and overseed in the fall. He continues to scalp his lawn, dumps the clippings into the stream, it's full of crab grass, has bare spots, etc.

Disposing of pressure treated wood

If I want to visit the snow, in 45 minutes I can be at 8000' and see all of it I want. I could also drive for 45 minutes the other direction and be surfing, sailing or fishing. I can work all year long in my shop without a heater or an air conditioner.

Never saw another like it

Still suffering from moving two weeks ago--in that the house is overfull, the shop is a mess, I just got a new camera I'm trying to get used to, trying to get things in shape to make the house livable and the shop usable, trying to get the youngest kid to clear her unused things out ...

Shop Vac vs. DC - Hard Evidence - maybe a ramble

I use the small 2 inch or so cheap clear plastic tubes and orange little blast gates sold as a Shop Vac system by The borg... I HOWEVER DO NOT use it as a DC system....more of a central vaccum system for my shop...
