Its a nice theory that requires a machine shop to implement on an american design saw. Buy a European saw, hire a machine shop, or go with the practical compromise and use a fixed splitter of some sort. Bob
I asked a plumber shop to save a 2 speed squirrel cage & motor from a furnace replacement and within a couple of months they called. Cost was $8.00 for a switch at the motor shop, squirrel cage & motor gratis.
But think about the pro shop getting an insurance discount for an "Sawstop" shop. There might be an economic incentive to migrate the tools. Allen Catonsville, MD
I bet you see an outside shot of the shop... and after transmission there will be posters in the window "as seen on...". The benefit to the shop owner isn't with the whole national TV audience but the locals.
