Shop Layout Feedback

I have a approximately 20x30 space for my shop. I've been working on designing where all the tools will go, and would like some feedback on the design. A couple notes: - The grinder, sander, and drill press will be separated and placed along the back wall.

Shop Cabinet Door

I'm thinking of adding a couple of doors to a shop cabinet. One thought I had was simply to install hinges, and cut the door out of a piece of 5/8 or 3/4 plywood. If I install the hinges first, then I don't have to mess with holding the door in place after it's cut.

LED shop lights

I just got a couple of new LED shop lights to replace the old F40 T12s that were cranky and did not like to start. The savings in power is significant if you had a lot of them. The LED is about 20 watts, the F40s are almost 110 watts.

Hire Shop Affiliates

Looking to hire a core drill setup and seem to remember someone on here recommending an online outfit that acted as a front/affiliate for one of the big national hire companies (Hire Station IIRC) but was cheaper due to piggybacking their bulk/trade discount rates, a bit like the ...

That was not a made to order one though, just a shop-stocked, standard size that we built the stud-wall around. It was supplied with temporary braces fitted to keep the frame square, so dead easy to install. SteveW

Pound shop glue?

Pound shop, Poundland or whatever. They flog 4 tubes of epoxy resin glue for a quid. Two tubes of hardener, two tubes of resin. I've had good results with this stuff, until today. The tubes are kept in the garage, but were warmed up before use on a minor silly unimportant job.

Shop electric question

My question is what size circuit breaker should I have at the house panel, and is 8/3 enough for the shop. My collection of tools are all 120v, TS, Ridgid BS, Ridgid TP1300 are the big consumers but will not be running more than one at a time.

Shop wiring question

I have two questions: STUD PLATE: I need to wire a small shop. I have single outlet at the panel. I will need walls to attach wires (see errata below for reasons). I want to glue the P.T. stud plate.
