Wire lath over Wonderboard necessary????

I'm putting up a Cultured stone wall. Currently I have Wonderboard up and I was wondering given that wonderboard os basically reinforced concrete whether I need to lath before putting on a skim coat. Anyone know if the lath is necessary??
