For about $50 you can buy a good Taylor test kit and do the tests yourself. Enough there for a few years of testing, no need to run back and forth to the store when you have a problem, need to test, etc.
I have the 5 bottle kit but it doesn't do CYA. I also like the sanity check of having a second opinion. My pool store is right next to the grocery store so I am there a few times a week anyway. The franchise owner lives behind me so they take pretty good care of me up there.
