Wihtout being th ere to hear it, it sounds like low voltage to the compressor, and kicking off on overload. But that's just a guess.

While one can't be sure without hearing it, I've heard ice maker water solenoids make that noise. At those intervals, it might be a little fast to be that but it's worh a look. You might try turning off the ice maker for a day to see if it quits.

Hi,

Model#? Sears products are made by a few different companies.

model# helps.

Does the refrigerator have an icemaker? Is it hooked up? The fill valve can make a loud buzz noise once in a while if it is calling for water but no water is hooked up to it, make sure the icemaker is shut off if no water is hooked up to the rerigerator.

Other things to check for, tubing touching one another, something fallen behind the fridge, condenser fan motor blade hitting something, defrost condensing pan out of place.
