Swimming Pool Water Loss

Mar 08, 2007 2 Replies

There is a lot of discussion on water loss in out door pools. I am trying to establish evaporation water loss from an indoor pool

water temp 84 degrees air temp 88 degrees nominal ventillation

Big difference at 10% humidity and 90%

Yes. Pw = 1.176 "Hg and Pa = 0.1336 at 10% and 1.202 at 90.

ASHRAE says the water loss is 0.1(Pw-Pa) lb/h-ft^2.

Minimize it with minimal ventilation and a high RH.
