State population, inbound vs. outbound

Mentioned before that my state of Delaware is being inundated by a lot of these people. First banks came in from New York, replacing chemical industry and car manufacturing. Now retirees from New Jersey for lower property taxes particularly in the shore region. We also have much lower gas tax and no sales tax making it a shopping haven for surrounding states.

We get a lot of "refugees" from the PRC (People's Republic of California) here in Nevada. The good thing is they come with a lot of money and businesses. The bad thing is the try to reproduce the sh*t hole they ran from here.

A bumper sticks around these parts is "Who cares how you did in California!"

Problem I see is how many people can live in the desert? You can truck in bacon and eggs but water will be getting more difficult. Lake Mead will be a puddle soon.

Oh you would not believe the fur that flies over water rights!

Had an interesting conversation with an Oregonian a few years ago. He was angry that California wanted some of Oregon's water. I told him he had a choice. Either send water to California or Californians will move there for the water. Suddenly he was all for sending water to California. Chuckle.
