Find the spot where the pipe from house connects to septic tank. Dig a hole above that spot and fill with rock salt 4-10 lbs. The point where the PVC pipe connects to tank is where mini roots can enter and clog the pipe. Any non-toilet paper such as paper towel will catch on roots and clog the pipe.
