OT Foot pain.

WASHINGTON, May 19, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) today announced the results of its Today's Podiatrist survey... The study, which surveyed 1,000 US adults ages 18 and older, found the majority of Americans say they have experienced foot pain (77 percent), but only a third of those would seek expert care by a podiatrist.

I've had foot pain for exactly one day, in 1973, so what do I properly say if asked, Have you experienced foot pain?

If I say yes, it shows up in a study like this as if it's a problem. If I say no, I'm a liar.

And what about people whose only foot pain occurred when they stubbed their toe. Should they answer yes or no.

Friend that is 80 years old had the gout in his foot for several days . As it was the weekend he had to wait about 5 days to get an appointment. By then the pain had mostly gone and the doctor just sent him on his way home with out any medicine.

Many surveys and polls are not well thought-through and therefore, not well designed. You've provided an example of just one.

Oh, I think the American Podiatric Medical Association designed this survey for a specific purpose, and achieved their goals quite well.

Surely you're not suggesting a respected medical association would cook the data to get the desired result?

Cindy hit it on the head. As a T2 diabetic, I have to say that the "respected" American Diabetic Association is (ADA) a bunch of palm waxed scrodrals.

These associations do not exist to fix things. Prolonging them continues their gravy train. Fix it and they are out of a job.

You aught to hear the ADA carrying on about how T2 will be one in three pretty damned soon and SEND US MORE MONEY! Oh, and do remember to eat your carbs and take your meds. (It is one in eleven and will probably stay there.)

And yes, I do know you were being sarcastic, with good reason.
