But the is ceiling looking great ! I've got a good start on the dining room/kitchen ceiling , about a quarter of one side and it's looking just how I envisioned it . For those that missed the memo , this is southern yellow pine beveled edge T&G boards 6" nominal . The finish is a crystal clear Minwax water based product so the wood looks unfinished but with a satin gloss . I like natural wood ... and my wife agrees that we should use the same wood for the trim . Haven't decided on the cabinets yet , but I'm guessing they'll be SYP too . Light woods with a natural finish will help make the room bright too .
