LG DLEX4000W: airflow warnings and the information to record

Reference notes for LG DLEX4000W owners interpreting an airflow warning. This is not a report of a fault in a dryer I own.

LG’s DLEX4000/DLGX4001 specification sheet lists both a FlowSense duct-clogging indicator and a lint-filter indicator. Those labels should not be treated as interchangeable diagnoses. In its dryer error-code guidance, LG associates d80/d90/d95 and Flow Sense bars with restricted exhaust; possible causes include lint, a crushed duct or an unsuitable long route with multiple bends. A clean lint screen alone does not establish that the route to the outdoors is clear.

Before requesting help, record the full model number, exact display, when it appears, selected cycle, load type and any recent installation change. Check only the accessible lint screen and visible vent condition permitted by the owner instructions. Arrange vent inspection/cleaning for an inaccessible or restricted duct; do not defeat the warning or buy a sensor simply because the indicator is on.

The model’s troubleshooting checklist separates airflow, load and power observations and links to LG documents:

I’m unaffiliated with Specs & Parts. Severe restriction, smoke or a burning smell calls for stopping use and qualified help, not repeated test loads.
