I want to know how far I can span a 10x19lb I beam, the joists on each side are 14' long but only span 12'6", these are actual 2x12s and not tji's, there will be 2 columns per beam, also this is a 2 story house if that matters. On the first floor there will also be another beam directly above the beam in the basement to carry load for the second floor.
