fluorescent fixture no lo

Hi Mark!

MM> We have a 2 bulb fluorescent light fixture in our basement that MM> simply ceased lighting up... I've tried both of the bulbs in other MM> lights and they work; I've tried new bulbs in the fixture and it MM> doesn't. Is it common for the fixture itself just to flake out? Sound MM> like anything that could be fixed or is it best to just trash the thing?

if the fixture itself is bad probably cheaper to toss the old unit out. Before doing so check to be sure there is power to the fixture - switch failed, failed connection.

It is possible for electrical/electronic items to 'suddenly fail for not apparant reason'. There is always a reason though sometimes not worth the time and effort to find!
