The width of a strike of an ink ball point pen!! What’s so hard to comprehend here? 1mm, 10mm = 1cm. I’m a drafty and trained in both MM and inches and MM are waaaaay more accurate! So Americans are “nearest 1/16 will do”?! He's talking about square meters and you are talking about long ones and milli ones. People are easily confused when they don't match.
